Laura is an Associate Director at S&P Global Commodity Insights based in Paris, France. Laura focuses on the transformational paths taken by oil and gas companies as they embrace the Energy Transition and the implications for their strategies and portfolios. Since joining Research in 2017, Laura has covered a variety of topics such as capital, portfolio and low-carbon strategies for global integrated oil companies, financial and operational performance benchmarking, IPO preparation and M&A activity, investment strategies and the increasing role of ESG in the Energy sector.

Before joining Research, Laura spent over eight years with the Consulting practice across Upstream, Automotive, and Transportation sectors. Prior, Laura worked for Ineum Consulting (now Kurt Salmon) on the implementation of a defined-benefit pension scheme, social welfare, and health insurance for the local employees of TotalEnergies across several regions.

Laura holds an MBA from ESSEC Business School (France) with a specialization in Petroleum Economics and Management from the IFP School (France), a Master of Science in Consulting from Paris 1 Pantheon-Sorbonne University (France), and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the Faculty of Cybernetics (Romania). A Romanian national, she is fluent in English and French.
