He also serves as vice chairman of Technology Committee of China Hydrogen Alliance. At NICE, Dr. Wei leads about 700 scientists globally (China, Europe and US), conducting advanced research in energy areas including hydrogen energy, performance materials, environmental protect technologies, distributed power and clean coal application. Prior to his current role, Dr. Wei was an executive at General Electric company where he worked for almost 20 years, focusing on the research of new energy, new materials and environmental protection technologies. 卫昶博士，国家级高层次外国专家，现任国家能源集团北京低碳清洁能源研究院院长（低碳院）、中国氢能源及燃料电池产业创新战略联盟专家委员会副主任。 卫昶博士2014年加入低碳院，他带领北京、美国、德国3个全球研发基地700余人的国际化团队在氢能源、先进材料、环保技术、新兴能源、清洁煤应用等领域取得世界领先的研发成果，并建立了美国和欧洲研发基地。 在此之前，他在通用电气（GE）工作近20年，主要从事新能源、新材料与环保领域技术的研发和管理工作。
