A due diligence project for a large agricultural equipment company, studying the oilseed crushing and biodiesel markets for the US, Europe, South America, China, India, Malaysia and Indonesia. The study examined the structure of the market, the policy environment, the economics of crushing and biodiesel, oilseeds available in each country, and the 10-year supply/demand outlook of oilseed crushing and biodiesel production in each region. The study served as the independent market consultant’s report for a group of investors of the facility.
A due diligence study for a large US organic vegetable producer analysed the study related to aqcuisition of a large US and international organic vegetable producer, including a detailed assessment of production potential and reasonable expectations of future growth for the company and industry.
A due diligence analysis was conducted for rice milling companies in North America. The study related to an acquisition of several rice assets in North America. The project included detailed assessments of the structure of the North American rice supply chain from production to distribution, a competitive assessment of the target assets, and an examination of how the acquired assets should be put together and be positioned in the marketplace. The project was conducted for a major regional player, and we collaborated with its in-house M&A team.
Due diligence review for a private equity firm regarding the purchase of a US Midwest elevator company. The study included a forecast of commodity production in the draw region, competing elevators and shuttle loading facilities, growth in exports and access to rail transportation.
