James is a director and the product manager in the Costs and Supply Chain team at S&P Global Commodity Insights, helping customers manage project costs and harness market opportunities.

James has over 25 years' of extensive international business experience from working in the upstream oil and gas industry hotspots across Europe, Africa, Middle East, CIS, and Asia Pacific. He is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Costs and Supply Chain service, responsible for the planning and delivery of future developments, and commercial of the service aspects. James is also responsible for our Upstream Transformation Service which provides a one-stop resource for upstream stakeholders on how to navigate change in the energy transition.

James spent 15 years based in South East Asia where he held various commercial and business development roles, and technical roles across our Upstream Oil and Gas product portfolio including field development planning, asset evaluation, and workflows using our subsurface data.

James holds a Bachelor of Arts (Hons.) in business information systems.
