Pollyanna works as an economist in the Economic Indicators & Forecasts team at S&P Global, where her primary focus revolves around the production and analysis of the PMI (Purchasing Managers' Index) surveys. Within her economist role, she is entrusted with the responsibility of overseeing the PMI surveys for Brazil, India, Mexico, Colombia.

In addition to her PMI duties, she oversees the Global Business Outlook surveys, which capture the sentiment and expectations of manufacturers and service providers worldwide. Furthermore, she is involved in various development initiatives that revolve around PMI datasets and the Halifax House Price Index (HPI), seeking to enhance their accuracy and applicability.

Pollyanna consistently strives to provide valuable insights into economic indicators. She engages in thorough data analysis and interpretation of the survey results, working closely with the wider Global Intelligence & Analytics team to extract valuable insights and trends. Their findings help guide strategic decision-making for businesses, investors and policymakers, enabling them to anticipate market dynamics, identify opportunities and mitigate risks.

Pollyanna joined the team in June 2012, after graduating with an Economics and Finance Bachelor of Science from the University of Surrey, UK. She also has a Master of Science in Finance (Economic Policy) with distinction from the University of London, UK. She is fluent in English and Brazilian Portuguese.
