Lin Deng is a senior research analyst in the North American power analytics team at S&P Global.
Lin Deng performs advanced qualitative and economic analysis of energy markets in North America, such as the future of electric power, fuel consumption, environmental emissions and compliance, transmission, and regulatory effects. Previously, Ms. Deng held posts on power market fundamentals forecasting teams at consulting firms, tailoring commercial simulation tools to meet the needs of unique consulting engagements. She uses integrated planning models, including IPM, PROMOD, and AURORAxmp to evaluate the impact of future regulation and support the development of client strategies to manage change. Ms. Deng holds a Bachelor of Engineering from East China University of Science and Technology, China; an ME from Tongji University, China; and an MSE from Johns Hopkins University, Maryland, United States.
