Chen manages day-to-day operation of North America Agribusiness Consulting team. He has over 10 years of experience of leading and performing primary and secondary research and quantitative and qualitative analysis to help clients understand the industries and markets within the US and global agriculture, food, transportation and renewable energy sectors. He has been recognized as 'Spotlight Employee' and 'GameChanger' and is a three times winner of 'Corporate Content Award'.

His expertise includes market assessment and outlook, feasibility and due diligence, policy and trade analysis, supply chain/value chain analysis, site selection and model and tool development. His most recent focus has been biofuel feedstock and carbon intensity modeling, leveraging past work in farmland, agricultural inputs, production and processing of grain, oilseed and livestock, sugar and byproducts, animal feed and feed additives, rendering, biofuels, transportation and infrastructure and agricultural policy and trade, among others.

Chen received his bachelor's degree in finance with high distinction from Beijing Normal University, China and received his master's degree in agricultural economics from Purdue University, United States. Chen's native language is Chinese, and he frequently contributes to China related studies and analyses.
