Nicholas joined S&P Global in April 2020 as a Senior Technical Research Analyst working within the Vantage Research and Content team with a focus on West Africa. He is based in Geneva, Switzerland, where he works alongside S&P Global Commodity Insights's wider Africa intelligence team. Nicholas responsibilities include driving decisions on likely development scenarios, asset-level production and valuation, development and production costs, as well as economic analysis for the Vantage analytical platform. He also collaborates with S&P Global Commodity Insights's wider Upstream teams in scrutinising data that contributes to the overall content of the Vantage online interface.

Before joining S&P Global, Nicholas has worked for international E&P service companies with a focus on sedimentary logging and seismic processing, as a Geoscientist for a Sub-Shahan Africa focused operator and most recently as a commodity analyst specialising in sulphur. He holds a MSc in Petroleum Geoscience from Royal Holloway, University of London and a BSc in Geology from the University of Bristol.
