Michael has over 29 years of experience in increasing value through data integration and process improvement. He has held senior leadership positions in oilfield research and technology, including most recently with S&P Global, now known as S&P Global Commodity Insights, where he leads the international upstream business. This expert-based business delivers world-class research, analysis and insight through integrated content access, dynamic data science and analytics for E&P companies navigating the Energy Transition.

Previously, Michael was with Schlumberger, where he specialized in geosciences workflow in evolving digital technologies and in running client-support services for adoption and best use of new technologies. He was also a senior account manager specializing in digital E&P technology and was earlier involved in process improvement and systems management technology. Before that, he worked in Sun Oil with special focus on digital exploration technology.

Michael holds a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Science from the University of London, United Kingdom.
