Yijie Zhu is an analyst within the Upstream Technical Research Unit at S&P Global Commodity Insights.Yijie is currently focused on oil and gas field research, and carbon capture and storage research in the US region. He has 12 years' experience in the oil and gas industry and prior to joining S&P Global, Yijie worked for Chevron as a clastic stratigrapher, development geologist, and exploration geologist. With diverse experience in upstream oil and gas sector, he is a subject matter expert in clastic stratigraphy and reservoir characterization.
Yijie holds a MSc in Structural Geology from Tongji University and a Ph.D. in Stratigraphy and Sedimentology from the University of Houston. He is fluent in English and Chinese.
