Designed specifically for GIS professionals, Platts Map Data Pro offers the same spatial data sets used by S&P Global Commodity Insights own energy analysts and publications. Our data is frequently used to support decision-making by energy producers, traders, and consumers within infrastructure siting, competitive analysis, mergers and acquisitions research, asset valuations, and strategic planning.
Conveniently upload, view, analyze, modify, and print GIS layer data using in-house geospatial applications such as Esri, MapInfo, or Google Earth. S&P Global Commodity Insights GIS data is a great complement to other energy market fundamental data and applications, and using your own platform allows you to mix S&P Global Commodity Insights spatial data with your own proprietary spatial data or figures from other vendors and sources.
Nearly two decades of data enhancement result in quality and accurate spatial information gathered by our GIS researchers from a variety of sources, including S&P Global Commodity Insights editors and analysts and many proprietary sources. Our researchers supplement this information with Federal government data from the US Department of Energy (DOE), Energy Information Administration (EIA), Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), and Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) financial filings.
Data is compatible with commercial and open-source GIS applications.
