铁矿石指数——IODEX

Platts铁矿石指数评估反映新加坡/北京时间下午5:30（0930 GMT）时的铁矿石可成交价格。

IODEX估价不限制原产地，考虑品位介乎60-63.5%的铁矿石。在2012年之前，现货市场上印度矿交易最为活跃，这种情况已经发生改变，现在澳大利亚铁矿石成为中等品位现货的主要来源。

在评估交割至中国的中等品位粉矿现货市场价值时，Platts考虑数个流动性高、广泛交易的品牌。

铁矿石是一种品质规格差别巨大的商品。Platts采集的成交、询盘和报盘数据按照品质（化学、物理和冶金属性）、交货时间、交货地点和其他交易条件统一转化为IODEX和相关指数所采用的标准规格。

Platts发布在每天的收市价评估过程中采集的询盘、报盘、交易意向和确认的成交信息。这些信息在我们的每日新闻通讯中予以概括，并完整的发布在我们的实时信息服务Commodity Insights Metals Alert中。

我们于2008年6月2日开始评估海运铁矿石的现货价格，这是业内第一个每日估价。

以品位62%的IODEX估价为开端，我们后来又推出了其他相关指数，以反映不同品质和形式的铁矿石价格，包括块矿。

IODEX在2010年成为最广泛使用的现货价格指数，当时主要矿业公司与钢厂之间的年度协议价机制轰然解体。

该指数最初用作长期合约定价的基础，现在也成为浮动价格现货交易和金融衍生品的基础，例如掉期交易。

2018年1月2日，Commodity Insights将IODEX与The Steel Index Iron Ore Fines 62% Fe CFR China（TS01021)指数进行合并。两项指数合并后，每日以相同价值发布，遵循相同的评估方法，形成纸货合约的统一远期曲线。

两项指数合并后，Commodity Insights得以更确定地对浮动价格成交、询盘和报盘转换为固定价格。
