The 27th Conference of the Parties takes place November 6-18 in Sharm El Sheikh, Egypt. Heads of state, energy and environment ministries and UN officials will meet with the goal of advancing global commitments to limit global warming to 1.5 degrees by the end of the century.

With geopolitical and economic pressures altering the context dramatically since the last meeting in Glasgow, S&P Global Commodity Insights tackles the most pressing questions ahead of this global climate gathering.

In this special COP27 countdown series, Roman Kramarchuk, Head of Future Energy Outlooks, answers the third question: a year after several agreements were struck at COP26, how have countries carried through on their commitments?
