Enhanced post-trade solutions to tackle your 2023 challenges
In 2022, we continued to see the fast pace of innovation in the financial system, all against a backdrop of climate and geo-political change. Technological developments, digital assets, and changing investor behavior have been key drivers of the securities markets.
S&P Global Market Intelligence continues to shape the corporate actions and securities processing world by listening to the needs of our buy-side and sell-side communities, to enhance our products and help customers grow in 2023 and beyond.
A single unified platform for custody and brokerage
Our Securities Processing platform supports trade aggregation, providing the ability to manage multiple client order executions and aggregate multiple executions from the same broker. At the same time, our asset class coverage has been extended to cater for trade capture, clearing, and settlement of exchange-traded derivatives. Learn more.
Corporate actions for the sell-side
Our sell-side corporate actions solution supports a system-agnostic position, transaction consolidator-to-consume position, and transaction files from multiple back-office platforms in their native formats. It produces a granular stock record for asset servicing containing individual fails, loan borrow contracts, transactions, and client and street side positions across multiple product types. The Solution supports the end-to-end automation of corporate actions workflow, including instruction processing for voluntary reorganization with a cover/protect feature leveraging the latest Depository Trust and Clearing Corporation (DTCC) International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 20022 messaging formats. Learn more.
Corporate actions Software as a Service (SaaS)
Our pre-configured, standardized, cloud-based Corporate Actions SaaS solution provides efficiencies and risk mitigation via its intuitive UI and intelligent event lifecycle management. This, complemented with the fully integrated Managed Corporate Actions (MCA) plug-and-play ISO 15022 service with direct access to MCA Web and tooltip functionality, further makes the Solution a complete one-stop option for our clients. The defined custodian onboarding and Society for Worldwide Interbank Financial Telecommunication (SWIFT) gateway further takes the onus away from the client during the onboarding process. Learn more
Adoption of SCoRE standards for ECMS
Our Corporate Actions solution is aligned with the adoption of Single Collateral Management Rulebook for Europe (SCoRE) standards (to meet the November 2023 go-live date). Our business processing and market practice workflow will ensure that each step of the corporate action and meeting event lifecycle is supported across the ISO 20022 and ISO 15022 messaging standards. Learn more.
Agent Validation Service: evolve beyond manual validation
Our Agent Validation Service provides a managed service that delivers rigorously reviewed and validated golden-source corporate action data based on your requirements—eliminating time-consuming and error-prone manual reconciliation and validating agent messages for corporate actions. Our people, ability, and robust technology help customers deliver exceptional accuracy, speed, and regulatory compliance. Learn more.
Publicly Traded Partnership (PTP) securities list: support for 1446(f) regulation compliance
Our list of PTP securities available to support the 1446(f) regulation includes detailed information on each PTP security, including the name of the partnership, the ticker symbol, and public identifiers. The list is available in comma-separated values (CSV) file over a Secure File Transfer Protocol (SFTP) folder and is regularly updated to ensure accuracy. This information can be helpful for investors and institutions who must comply with the 1446(f) regulation. In addition, our team of experts will also provide tax implications for cash distributions on these securities. Learn more.
Security Data Change Service
The Security Data Change Service can be used to manage changes to the status of a security resulting from an underlying corporate action. This includes changes to the listing status of a security (such as when a security is added to or removed from a particular exchange), as well as changes to the delisting status of a security (when a security is no longer traded on an exchange). The service can also be used to manage changes to the ticker or any public identifiers of a security, which can be important for ensuring that the security can be easily identified and tracked. The data is available in CSV format and with corporate actions files, which can be used to access and manage the information easily.
Depository service fees
Depository service fees are charges by depository banks for inventorying the local market shares and performing registration, compliance, dividend payment, communication, and recordkeeping services on behalf of clients. These fees are usually charged monthly or annually. The announcements related to these fees are now available in our corporate actions files in the ISO 15022 and ISO 20022 format and our proprietary files.
