Tech company or automotive company?
Automotive Expert
It's getting harder and harder to separate a tech company from a
good old car company. Even though there is still a fair share of
old-fashioned metal-bending in the automotive sector, there is also
an ever-growing dose of high tech ideas including:
Toyota Motor Europe and the Copenhagen Institute of Interaction
Design are working on a concept project that allows a vehicle
passenger to use their window like an Etch-a-Sketch to trace
objects they see outside, zoom in on distant objects or estimate
distances. Here's a demo -

other detail. vimeo.com/23221876
It's easy to scoff at these technology applications and wonder how
they would ever be useful to a driver or passenger. However, it is
this type of thinking that leads to some amazing technology
applications that improve efficiency and just make driving more
fun!
Not sure if it is considered true technology but heated car seats
have got to be on my list of examples of innovative thinking! Let
us know your favorite - or least favorite - vehicle technology
application...
